Answer three short questions and we'll point you to the lesson format that fits — and to certified Guild teachers in your area.
Dr. Moshé Feldenkrais — physicist, engineer, one of Europe's judo pioneers — asked a question far ahead of his time: how does the human nervous system learn to move, and how can it learn again, better?
He answered it here. He lived and taught in Tel Aviv until the end of his life, and the lessons he gave became the foundation studied by teachers on every continent. The Israeli Guild holds this source — and carries it into the present.
Longevity is not only how long we live — it is how long we move with ease, balance and confidence. That is precisely what the Feldenkrais Method trains: not muscles, but the nervous system that runs them.
The brain can refine movement at any age. Feldenkrais works directly with this ability — gentle, precise, without strain.
Easier turning, steadier walking, safer getting up: the everyday skills that decide quality of life in later decades.
No equipment, no force, no age limit. What you learn stays with you — a lifelong tool, not a treatment you depend on.
Learning in the Feldenkrais Method is not intellectual — it is organic, the way a child learns to crawl and walk: without instructions, through attention. The Method gives us this ability back, at any age and in any condition.

Examining my movement activates my brain. This is how personal awareness grows — of movement, breath and the body — while moving.
Habits run our lives. The Method offers the brain more options — and lets it discover: maybe there is an easier, better way.
Why strain when you don't have to? One of the core principles: seek lightness and simplicity — in every movement, every day.
Every approach has its place. Feldenkrais simply starts somewhere else — with the brain, not the muscle.
This comparison shows emphases, not rankings. Physiotherapy and yoga are excellent — and often complementary. Feldenkrais adds the dimension of learning.
